The research focus of the Munich School of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MSRM), part of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), will be artificial intelligence and robotics for the future of health, work, and mobility. Georg Eisenreich, the Bavarian minister for digital technology, media, and Europe, officially granted the education and science building to TUM on July 27th, 2018.
The building, located at Heßstrasse 134 in Munich, currently provides a research space of over 2000 square meters, including a 900 square meter hall for larger experiments. After a transition period, the MSRM will be able to take over the entire property.
Sami Haddadin, Munich native and recipient of the “Deutscher Zukunftspreis des Bundespräsidenten” in 2017, is the founding director of the scientific institute.
