On October 26th, 2018, the Munich School of Robotics and Machine Intelligence will celebrate its grand opening at the Pinakothek der Moderne. The focus of this first-of-its-kind integrative research center, which is part of the Technical University of Munich, is the future of work, health, and mobility.
An integral part of the opening event is a high-caliber scientific symposium. By bringing together internationally leading scientists from the fields of robotics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, this symposium will generate a multifaceted discourse with numerous talks on the newly arising academic discipline of machine intelligence.
The evening gala will begin with an opening speech by the Bavarian prime minister, Dr. Markus Söder, as well as welcoming words from the Bavarian state minister of science and art, Prof. Dr. med. Marion Kiechle, and the Bavarian state minster of economics, energy, and technology, Franz Josef Pschierer. The event will also include two reputable keynote speakers as well as a robot demonstration called “The Machine Apprentice” on the subject of collective artificial intelligence.
Thoughout the day, there will be an exhibition that is open to the public, which will give its visitors insight into the latest TUM research highlights in the field of machine intelligence.
