The first MIRMI General Assembly activated new forms of collaboration
Community, VERANSTALTUNGEN |
MIRMI's Board of Directors and Senior Management Team presented key topics such as the Institute's approach to building an Integrative Graduate Program in robotics and machine intelligence, the relevance of joint publications, members' latest joint research initiatives, activities to bring research and industry together, exclusive information about the upcoming munich_i exhibition, and the MIRMI Seed Funds results and transparency policy. During the sessions, Principal Investigators shared ideas, raised questions, and suggested new ways to advance joint research.
MIRMI's Chief of Science and Lab Coordinators presented participants with a Digital Lab Tour, followed by a model for sharing knowledge, expertise, labs, and facilities. Principal Investigators then selected eight Focus Groups in which they were interested and, with the support of the MIRMI Lab Coordinators, they defined Focus Groups' leaders, goals, challenges, and next steps and suggested how the MIRMI team can support their initiatives. The evening was productive and joyful. We are already looking forward to the next meeting!
